In the essay, Shooting an Elephant, George Orwell illustrates his experiences as a British police falseicer in Lower Burma, and reflects it to the nature of imperialism. Since anti-European ghost was very bitter due to the British Empires dictatorship in Burma, Orwell is being treated disrespectfully by the Burmese (12). This allows him to hate his furrow and the British Empire. However, the incident of shooting of an elephant gives him a better glimpse of the real nature of imperialism the real motives for which despotic government act (13). Through his life experiences as a British man, Orwell efficiently demonstrates the negative effects of imperialism on individuals and society.With the usage of effective diction in his essay, Orwell excellently conveys his emotions and message to his readers. By doing so, he shows his emotions a nd respect towards the Burmese because concern them natives suggests that he agrees on the fact that they are the true owner of Burma and not the British Empire. Also, by frequently using the word natives, Orwell reminds his readers the existence of imperialism in Burma so that the readers do not simply hang on to the elephant but also get the message incorporated in the essay. The body of the elephant is compared to machinery as Orwell thinks that killing an elephant is comparable to destroying a huge and costly piece of machinery (15). This comparison makes the readers realize that the British Empire is also like a huge piece of machinery, so the expiry of it would be a serious matter to both oppressor and people being oppressed. Aristotle was born in 384 BCE at Stagirus, a Greek colony and harbour on the coast of Thrace. His father Nichomachus was court physician to King Amyntas of Macedonia, and from this began Aristotles long association with the Macedonian Court, which considerably influenced his life. While he was still a boy his father died. At age 17 his guardian, Proxenus, sent him to Athens, the intellectual center of the world, to complete his education. He joined the Academy and studied under Plato, attending his lectures for a period of twenty years. At the death of Plato in 347, the pre-eminent ability of Aristotle would seem to have designated him to succeed to the leadership of the Academy. At the invitation of his friend Hermeas, ruler of Atarneus and Assos in Mysia, Aristotle left for his court. He stayed three year and, while in that location, married Pythias, the niece of the King. In later life he was married a second time to a woman named Herpyllis, who bore him a son, Nichomachus. At the end of three years Hermeas was overtaken by the Persians, and Aristotle went to Mytilene. At the invitation of Philip of Macedonia he became the tutor of his 13 year old son Alexander (later world conqueror) he did this for the next five years. It has been the Tutsi and the Hutu, two out of the three ethnic groups in Rwanda, that have been battling for the politics spot. As the years went on, the fighting kept getting more brutal. This savageness ended up being an all out massacre in Rwanda from the Hutu. It has been argued whether if the killings were an snatch of genocide or an act of war. But what are exactly genocide and war, and which one relates to the conflict in Rwanda? Because of the way the Hutu went through with there harsh brutality towards the Tutsi provides enough evidence to prove that the Hutus actions were an act of genocide. Rwanda is a densely populated small landlocked country in Africa. In this small country concern three ethnic groups the Hutu, the Tutsi, and the Twa. The Hutu account for 85 percent of the population, the Tutsi make up 14 percent, and the Twa only make up about 1 percent. The Tutsi, even though they only make up 14 percent of the populations, have ruled Rwanda for years, which has stirred up many emotions from the Hutu being that they have the numbers while the Tutsi settle down has the power. Then there is the Twa who have no political effect in Rwanda. Before 1950 the Tutsi and the Hutu lived very similar lives growing cattle and cultivating their land. They even intermarried and shared the equivalent language. Everything was great until a new type of economic system came into play, colonialism. There was always a little rivalry between the Hutu and the Tutsi but this rivalry considerably grew when colonialism came into the economic system in Rwanda. The website tells all the different things that can make out headaches, such as anxiety, stress, emotions, and a persons diet. The article also mentions that the four leading factors that lead to headaches, from a questionnaire, are anxiety, glare, noise and anger. I believe that most of the things the site mentions do cause headaches. Caffeine, I believe, causes me the most headaches. I conceive of that anxiety being first is correct because anxiety and stress does come out to cause more headaches, besides caffeine, than anything else. Having emotional stress seems to cause some of my headaches. The article mentions that emotional stress doesnt cause headaches however, it makes us more persuasible to them. The reason we are more susceptible to headaches is due to our mind influencing our body, which is called a psychosomatic condition. I can definite ly go along with this because our mind is truly powerful. As a wise person once said, Mind over matter. The article goes on to mention that sinuses, contrary to popular belief, are not usually the culprits in causing the headache. I always have blamed sinus troubles, or caffeine consumption, for the headaches that I have. This is surprising news to me, since all my life, I have been told that sinus infections cause headaches. There are many causes for headaches and some people have them more than others.
